1 Thessalonians 1:1-10

I. Key Characteristics of a Great Church

Attitudes: faith, hope, love
Actions, work, labor, steadfastness

Two-fold Example
1) In conduct (v. 6)
2) In their confession (v. 8)

II. The Necessity of a Working Faith

A) The first key is the object of faith.

B) The second key to understanding is the Word.

C) The third key is tangible evidence.

1- It will lead you to turn from sin.
2- It will lead to a deeper commitment to worship.
3- It will lead to viewing life with an eternal perspective.
