Preaching is an art and science. I do not agree with the ideas floating today that we need to tell people what they want to hear. Like the Prophets and our Lord Himself, we must tell them what they need to hear. At the same time, we can be preaching a sermon that doesn’t’ connect to our congregation. We must know our audience. This book will make you think along those lines. It is not a typical preaching book but is worth reading and thinking through.
