If You Want the Blessing, You Have to Grow Up

I. Jehovah is looking for a people who will take Him at His word.

Essential truths for victory:
1) Prayer is a powerful weapon.
2) The sword of the Spirit is our offensive weapon.

II. The promises are ours, but we fail to believe them and stand on them.

“The Christian doesn’t work up toward victory, he works down from it. We do not struggle toward it, but we stand in it because of the cross and the empty tomb.”

III. The reason for defeat is a refusal to grow up.

  • The Corinthians were carnal because of what they did.
  • The Hebrews were carnal because of what they didn’t do.
