I. Why the stones?
Monuments are built to remember and teach.
The stones were:
What do these stones mean?
1) They were a memorial to a miracle.
2) They were a message for future generations.
3) They were a witness and a warning to others.
II. What do these stones mean?
God wants us to remember things essential to the life of faith.
A. Without stones of remembrance, we lose our way.
B. If we are going to walk by faith, we must remember that true faith is built on historical facts.
C. Faith that works needs a place to readjust.
D. Every tribe and family needs a reminder.
