Faith to Face Your Impossibilities

Joshua 3:1-17
There are several reasons why believers can get clsoe to victory and never achieve it:
1) They trust in their fleshly wisdom.
2) They get a word from God and then go ask someone what they think about it.
3) They hold on to traditions rather than truth.
4) Fear grips them at the moment of decision.
5) They focus on self.
6) They lack faith.
I. The Leap of Faith Requires Preparation (3:1-4)
Three Items in the Ark:
1) Tablets of stone: this reminds us of obedience
2) Manna from the wilderness: this reminds us of God’s provision
3) Aaron’s rod that budded: this reminds us of God’s power
The Ark Pictures Christ:
1) He is the obedient Son (Philippians 2).
2) He is our Mercy Seat (Romans 3:25).
3) He is the fullness of deity in bodily form (Colossians 2:9).
